Definitions (HCT-CI weighted scores )


Arrhythmia     (1)

Atrial fibrillation or flutter, sick sinus syndrome, or ventricular arrhythmias           


Cardiac          (1)                                                                                                                                                                                 

Coronary artery disease,* congestive heart failure,myocardial infarction, or EF of
50% 


Inflammatory bowel disease     (1)  

Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (1)

 

Diabetes     (1)  

Requiring treatment with insulin or oral hypoglycemic,

but not controlled with diet alone 


Cerebrovascular disease     (1) 

Transient ischemic attacks or cerebrovascular acciden

 

Psychiatric disturbance     (1) 

Depression/anxiety requiring psychiatric                                       

consult and/or treatment at the time of HCT 

 

Hepatic     (1)

Mild chronic hepatitis, bilirubin >ULN to 1.5x ULN,                                              

or AST/ALT >ULN to 2.5x ULN

Patients with a BMI of >35 for adults or with                                                            

BMI-for-age percentile of
95th percentile for children

Documented infection or fever of unknown etiology requiring                            

antimicrobial treatment before, during,

and after the start of conditioning regimen
